When did you last feed the hooker in the boot?

On a more serious note either inspect this corner - wheel/suspension/driveshaft Etc yourself or get it into a garage without delay IMHO!

In my experience you should only feed them once a week - I have 2 living in my boot, so I let them 'eat' each other ... which is nice ...

sorry to hear that liam.

all the front struts have been replaced, so cant be that. i had a problem with the rear on the drivers side, but that was traced to a worn out bearing which was replaced and solved the problem. never had any problems with the passenger rear.

can you describe the noise in any more detail, or exactly when it happens?

have you checked the tyres? i had what i though was a knocking in my TT a few years ago, it turned out to be a stone stuck in the groove of the tyre tread that was making the noise....that i could only ever hear at low speed

its definetely not a stone its quite fast and only happens when you give a good foot full in first no other gear and happens at about 3000rpm it may be a bearing (i hope) .i just had it vag comed and there is a fault with the exhaust temp sensor but it might be something else contributing to that not the actual sensor apparently .
as for the knocking its about as loud as someone banging hard on the window (no prossies in boot although two prossies eating them selves in there does sound good  )not sure if you can hear outside the car though but i would think so and it is definetely round the passenger rear wheel.

hmm
i usually tie mine up, make sure the spare wheel wedges em in ;)

on the noise, i would get it looked at!! you need to check the wheel, my rear stabilizer arm was well worn and banged about allthou not on acceleration! try to wobble th wheel if its really bad it will move while its sittin on the ground.
hope u get it sorted

The hooker in the boot has escaped! Attention all cars; be on the look out for a hunched-over hooker stumbling around squinting at the light ...
