All been well at the weekend i wil be buying some H&R springs along with some original Audi shocks off the devil himself! Having never changed suspension before im not so sure about wheel alignment. will i need the wheels tracking after i change these parts or should the new ones live in the exact same place?

Bang em on and off you go or in other words - alignment not necessary.

That said, alignment wouldn't hurt - although it shouldn't be affected by this work, it could already be out.

I could have sworn my last S4 was aligned (it drove fine so I thought) but it was infinitely better after it was done.

i wore the insides of my brand new tyres bald in 2.5k after doing the shocks and springs..

much cheaper to pay less than £100 for laser alignment than buy two new tyres..

go for the alignment - my 2p

True - it doesn't hurt to get your wheels aligned - always a good thing to keep maintained
