i bet this is a new one.
the other day i found rat sh*t in the engine area, so icleaned it and found a few wires with stripped casing so i repaired them but then found the car was gutless ,i asumed they had bitten holes in the hoses somewhere but couldnt find anything so i took it to mrc where doug found a falt of open circuit on the inlet manifold tair temp sensor this is a bitch to get to and requires the manifold to come off to repair , so i booked it in for next friday .but today i thought id check that they hadnt done any thing else in there and after removing the dv i could see the bottom of the sensor but no way could i get my hand in there, but i thought maybe my 9 year old son could reach it, low and behold he slipped his hand in like a rat up a drain pipe and un clipped it , i then rewired it where the rats had bitten it through and he slipped his hand in and clipped it back on . i then disconected the battery to clear the fault code for the rest of the day and 9 hrs later i just took it for a spin and ive got full power back no more limp mode.the only down side is my lad now has a valid point that hes saved me over 100 quid so i can now buy him a drum kit ...easy come easy go i guess..
