I know this topic has been done to death. Not sure about a poll though.
As i'm looking to buy 4 new tyres for my S4, thought i'd post a poll to find peolpes preferences.

I'm looking at GSD3's. Currently have Pilot Sport 2's on I HATE them as much as the person who keyed my CAR!

Voted Goodyear F1 but currently run Avon's. They came with the car and don't seem too bad but will be replaced with F1's when the time comes. UNless something better is availble by then...

I'm running directional Toyo Proxys T1's (225/40R18). Fantastic tyres, great grip, not cheap though :?

Goodyears all day long. Had em on several cars now. Such a great allrounder with excellent wet performance (most important) and great life.

F1's

PS I like your title that drawed people into opening this thread without telling them it was about tyres .... might try that next time I ask about pads and discs or oil :bigblink:

F1's but if money were no object I would have tried Conti Pilot Sport 2's. They seem to get the best reviews overall.

GSD3's for me also, although toyo t1's are very good but dont last as long.

My vote was for Eagle F1s, but I have only ever had this type of tyre on the car since I bought it in June. I have known and ridden in the car since it was new in 1998, so I know that the previous owner (my boss) has tried others including Toyos, Pirellis, Michelin Pilot Sport, and Yokohama(?).

He discovered that some of them offer slightly better grip than the F1s, but that this came at the expense of durability. Normally he is a 'no expense spared' sort when it comes to cars, and he is not short of a few bob. However, even he could not justify the small benefit of slightly better grip when the tyres wore out in 1/2 to 2/3 of the miles it takes to get through the F1s.

I am content to live by the results of his 7 and a half year experiment and feel no need to explore other options.

I'm running Kumho MXs at the mo, fin great! 225/45*18 and £75 a pop. Contis are also superb but tear jerkingly expensive. Not tried PS or GSD3s but a lot of people swear by them.

Michelin PS2 every time.
I know they are not the cheapest but seem to grip well in all conditions and are quiet!
