no fault code, I think on vag-com you can connect directly to the airbag module. I had the same thing but it turned out to be the passenger side connector - although I managed to get a code which tells you which airbag is faulting. In the absence of any fault code I would try the passenger side and put the vag-com on again. If its actually the air bag control unit gone bang then that could cost a few $$. Cant remember when you are supposed to have the air bags changed, 8 years or 12 years spring to mind.

Mine came on over the weekend, not on the S4 but on my BMW so I'm stuck having to go to a garage for a fault code read

If it is the connectors, you still need vagcom to reset the fault.
Passenger side was dodgy on mine. Quick clean and reset, all ok

Yeah if you can get the connections off. You need a matrix of tools to loosen those things, any volunteers, lol?

When I fitted front Recaros recently the hardest part was getting the flippin' electrical connectors unplugged on the old seats. I had to reset a fault code on the passenger seat using VAGCOM too (only the passenger seat though strangely).
