Hi folks,

Really pleased with the MASSIVE knowledge posted on the forums. Well done to all who have posted on here cause you're unknowingly gonna help me over the next few months.

I'm new to owning a B5 S4 as I've looked for one for about a year. Still own a A4 1.8T Quattro Sport which is a very nice daily driver but needed the S4 boost to watch the dreamers drool :D

Just wanted to share thoughts with the condition of a stock S4 and to see what you guys/gals out there would think would be positive/well spent upgrades to take without "going crazy". I've already had a remap done to 310bhp and the dump valves changed from stock. Apart from 5x new rubber to the beast and 2 weeks of very good waxing to make the Black look awesome in the sun thats all I've managed so far.

Took different parts of the car to bits just to get handy and basically enjoy owning the car. Finding it very rewarding at the moment taking stuff apart and cleaning stuff (am i sad?) and putting back together. I'm searching for stuff wrong with the car but so far, so good. All joints, bushes, rubber seal, connections, electronics and everything else all appear in very good condition. Previous life is documented to be garaged and it appears so with how clean everything is.

Anyway, down to the good stuff. Lets pull it apart and put new stuff in. First thing is the body roll and stock suspension. I want rid. The car is at 102k and I really can feel my baby moving too much when I boost round a corner. Any reserve on a Eibach suspension anyone? I've read posts and good feedback is plenty.. thats one reason for this post.. anyone disagree? - Next .. rollbars.. which ones .. im thinkin H&R.. good/bad?

Once I've got my feet planted on the road I can think of breathing to let the noose around its neck make me smile... but not yet.. i want grip 1st fellow tuners...

Any hello's to a new member would be cool or suggestions.. take care ppl!

Thx
BB

The first thing I changed/modded on my S4 was 710N's and a new MAF! Then ECU, then cat back and downpipes.

Then loads more, so much more actually that the car is still sitting in bits... lol!

haha mihnea :) but it will be so niceeee when its done *shiny nice manifolds drool*
u get my email mate?

The first thing i did when i got my S4 was ring MRC tuning, they did me a health check, both dvs were busted, throttle body boot was torn and an intercooler hose was split! replaced all these then had a custom remap  , since then ive replaced the Fhose and one of the DV hoses.
Fitted a boost gauge and also bought a vag com type cable so i can check for errors, without this i would never of known i had a boost leak (the boost gauge showed i was boosting but looking at the actual boost and requested boost it was well down!) Then put on rs4 downpipes w/precats gutted and fitted a dual rs4 miltek to help breathing.

Definetly get the car healthy before getting it to go faster!

Next on my list is suspension (H&R) and air intake mods, then once funds let me k04 turbo conversion with all the neccesary stuff to make it up to over 400bhp
thats all in good time tho! :)
