Mine are awesome - best brakes I have ever had. They are extremely powerful but easy to modulate - couldn't ask for more. RS6 Callipers and RS6 plus discs. Superb.

Andrew,

I'm sure you weren't trying to send this thread "off topic" (easy mistake!), but this is about the RS4/RS6 hybrid turbos that MRC are fitting to Rob's S4 (along with a few other bits & pieces I believe), and not the RS6 brakes upgrade. Sorry. (Lovely brakes though!)

I'm bound to get this wrong, but IIRC they're K04 turbos inside RS6 housings (or is it the other way around???).

I'm sure someone less mechanically challenged will be along soon to give you a proper explanation!

rs6 compressor wheel inside a rs4 K04 turbo. Usually comes with turbine side clearancing to lower backpressure.

Anyone know price difference between the rs6 hybrids and the k04's (per pair).

Cheers

And reliability wise, they as good as ko4's?

I was told around £ 1500 for K04 and £2500-3000 for Hybrids.

What are differences of typical power gains and torque between the two (K04 and rs6 hybrids) if engine has been upgraded with rs4 bits, such as MAF, air box, clutch/flywheel, injectors, IC's, and other usual mods to make car upto rs4 spec. Cheers.

And are rs6 hybrids the standard turbos that are in rs6's? They ported over to the S4 untouched or are they modified?

Cheers.
