My o/s front wheel bearing is making some noise and needs changing. My question is, does the tracking/wheel allinement etc need re-setting after replacing this item or not?. Also having not used my car for 3 weeks or so i recently fount my battery to be flat, after chargeing the battery and fireing her up soon after, the car was missfireing like a knackered old lawnmower but soon got better but still coughs abit when i put the foot down. Is this the ECU re-setting itself after the battery being dissconected or have i got probs?

sound like you have problems mate.

Firstly your battery shouldnt go flat after three weeks uless you have something that uses a lot of power that is on all the time.

I have a 1.8 turbo thats sat on a private road for about 2 months and she still starts up.

YOur car shouldnt spultter. An ECU reset should definitely not make the car drive like you described yours too.

Im sure someone else will set me strsight if its not the case.

Get you car health checked.

You may have just got a bit of moistur/condensation around the plugs. Did it go away when you got it warmed up?

yup, both the fronts & the rears will need tracking up etc if you replace the wheel bearings - it's all gotta come apart. (just had both the rears done on mine as it happens)
