Trying to find previous owner

I'm trying to find the previous owner of my car. I bought it front Croft Motors in October 2005.
Here are the details:
Model: (b5) S4
Colour: Silver
Year: Sept 2000
Reg: X153....
It seems to have "Green Stuff"

brake pads and the brakes have a dangerous wobble at high speeds. It nearly pulled the car off the road at one point.
No centre arm rest
Black interior.
The astry in the centre concole is stuck close.
It smells as if dogs have been carted around in the back. Can't get rid of the smell.
Does this info ring any bells with anyone?

Its not going to be on the register as it has only been up and running a few weeks.
The previous owners details are on your V5 log book.
If your not happy with the car talk to Croft Motors. If your trying to find some sort of history to the car ring up the garage which serviced it previously - theyll give you some info on whats its had done.

im assuming its an avant then?keep a look out for a pair of slippers/pipe that may be the source of your mystery odour

To get rid of the smell leave "Bounce" tumble dryer sheets under the seats/in the boot and give the carpets a damn good shampooing or full professional valet inside car.

and the stuck ashtray is probably a pound coin jammed in the back, it was in mine, apparantly it's a common fault with S4's and should be checked thoroughly before purchase

Possibly the only time you'll ever fix your car and ended up with more money than you started with!
