wheres the cheapest place (apart from AMD) to get an AWE centre mount boost gauge?Ive decided this should be my next course of action to keep an eye on the old boost pressure.

thanks for your info. Whilst i was doing a search and reading another post someone made a valid point about you not bein able to see the gauge to easy when driving. On second thoughts the Apillar would seem like a better place to put a gauge. Do AWE do an apillar mount for RHD S4s? Also has anyone used DEFI before. IIRC they have a peak hold and replay function that would be good.

No need to make a science of it Andy. Gauge will allow you to have a good idea of what your car is doing so you have a decent chance of spotting a boost leak. For more detail, you will be much better off logging with vag-com.

The AWE vent gauge looks very good in the car, the best one IMHO.

Andy,

I have my BG next to the A pillar on the round vent. I like the position but it looks a bit naff and untidy. I am torn between the AWE setup which looks good and closest thing to a stock look, or keeping the A pillar but changing the current rig. Typically I stumbled across a company that will take you A pillar trim and re-upholster it with an integrated pod but I forgot to bookmark the site. It may have been AWE. No doubt you will have seen the carbon fibre look A pillar stick on jobs about but they look a bit chav.

MRC had a show car in for modding when I was last there an that had a very tidy and subtle A pillar pod. Maybe they can help by speaking with the owner.

Cheers
Darren

Mine is a second hand one and cost me $175, so just under the £100 mark.

I have no issues with visibility of my gauge, but I did choose the right hand vent, not the centre one. That definitely does make a difference.

Im not trying to make a science out of it but I just thought it was a valid point. I dont spend an awful lot of time looking at the vents when im driving ,so the a pillar seems like the better option. Unless of course you just put a boost gauge in your car for a gimmick and then it doesnt matter where it goes.
