cam shaft oil seal

ouch just got my bill in for work done on my s4cam shaft oil seal £705.00 including vat there said it took them 14 hours to do have I had my eyes taken out

Thats about right mate. I would think it means a reset of the mechanical timing. Not sure - but I'd think to do it properly would take that kind of time.

Was that Cam Shaft or Crank Shaft if it was the former was in both?

Check a previous post.... but this was the crank shaft seal!

rocker cover gaskets have both needed replacing , also a crank or cam gasket on the front and a cam seal on the back. looks like gaskets are lightly to be a problem with age .

it was the crank shaft oil seal i checked the paper work today
