Brembo on ebay

Post by MarkB » Fri Feb 24, 2006 1:57 pm

Just seen these on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BREMBO_W0QQitemZ8 ... dZViewItem

The seller states that they are correct to go on an S4 using A8 disc's. Could this be for real or is he talking out of his back side?

Thanks

Mark

I haven't seen too many of these before, so I can't be 100%, but I wouldn't have thought that the interconnecting pipes nor the pistons themselves should be powder coated !!!! I'd be asking questions about how new they actually are!

If they are the 6-pot Porsche cayenne caliper, then they will fit straight onto the S4 uprights, but you need larger discs to match!

I doubt they are suitable. It would be far too easy!

I think you'll find he's right. They do look like the GT3/Cayenne 6 pot which will fit with an A8 disc on most Audis, provided you have 18inch wheels. Having said that I'm not an expert your honour :bash:

call me stupid but when u powder coat summit like calipers dont u have to remove the pistons cos the seals melt due to the high temp,s ?? the ends of these pistons are yellow..were they removed  if so then were they cleaned off and new seals fitted..and are they fitted correctly.. :? well i no what brakes im gonna get..and it aint them.. nige :redrs4:

And what's the point of upgrading your brakes and using DOT4 fluid - you want minimum DOT5, but preferably Castrol SRF or equivalent!!! And why 3 litres of the stuff?

hey maybe theres enough fluid to do a few miles cos everytime ya brake the fluid rushes out past the burnt out seals... :piss: :redrs4:

I think it's safe to say these are only any good for the castings and will need a rebuild. So going by ebay logic will sell for far too much money!!!

"yes there are new i asked them to be powde coated yellow to match my audi s4 and at £200 there a bargin if they were."

My Money is staying firmly in my pocket!
