On the face of it it looks a great deal. Wonder of anyone on here has then fitted already and can give us an idea what they are like.

Some might dissagree with me here but i have had some bad experiences with the new red stuff ceramic pads. Even after lots of warming up they just dont give a good feel when braking. I used to have a civic type R and i spent £80 just for the front pads to go with the ebc discs and i had them for 2 months b4 i took them off as the were useless. Mate had a jap spec Celica GT4 running 350bhp and he spent £600 for red stuff and the discs allround. He does a few track days and he said the standard one were far better then the redstuff. Its upto you at the end of the day but i would stay well clear of ebc from now on as just not worth the risk.

I was just looking at thme aswell on ebay. They look and sound ok from his description, but you cant argue with someone thats tried and tested them.
Just the pads your refering to Grim? or the discs aswell?

i have the full montey front and rear discs and greenstuff pads paid about 550.00 for the lot . they seem to work ok but when the discs get warm they sound terrible ie braking from high speeds the grooves on the discs hsve the effect of cleaning the pads under braking but as the discs get hot the sound is awfull . i know 550 is cheaper than the bigger upgrades but considering i have to live with these for the next 20k or so i wish id have left the origianals on , they arnt that bad are they , and saved for a big brake job . maybe we should source a steel brake line supplier instead . hope this helps

Thats what i wanted to here.
From reviews and comments on here, I was going to get DBA discs and Pagid fast road pads, but after seeing this, I thought I'd put it out to opinion.

I had both discs and pads but i swapped the pads back to OE ones but kept the discs for a bit. As has been mentioned they make a lot of noise under braking. Has anyone tried zimmerman discs and pagid pad combo (think they do it for the S4 but not 100%) as most vag owners swear by them.

I have EBC turbo groove and red stuff on the front. They are OK when they warm up. Can be a bit
disconcerting until they do though.

It's enough for me to steer clear. I will continue to save my money for a Porche brake upgrade.

I've got EBC greenstuff pads on my car just now. Squeal like, well, like a pig I suppose. Better peddle feel than OEM 993tt pads but not really for the road. No idea about track use as yet.

Red stuff on back, crap until warm, yr first brake hard on a damp road before there warm loads the front and test's your ABS shall we say !!

I have EBC redstuff on front - very noisy when warm, especially under hard braking.
Dont forget that calipers play an important part in braking performance - it's not just about discs & pads.
Anyway, I'll check these 2 suppliers out as they're quite local to me.

I used Green stuff in the past (a loooong time ago)...I took them off after 3k miles. Enough said.
