Has anyone here relocated the external temp sensor

and I figured I'd relocate it to get more accurate readings, rather than the heat soke or hot tarmac

This is true, and number of cars had very inaccurate temp sensors, which as you all know control the climate control, so some people we getting crazy out side tempreture readings due to the proximity of the sensor to the oil cooler, so people were moving the sensors to combat this from happening.
Well my car was one of the last ones off the production line and they actually moved the place where it was originally located. But its still doesnt make any difference so i wouldnt bother [img]images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]
I actually do think wehave that modification in the DB somewhere. perhaps i can get PhilT to find it out and post it for you.

It got moved on my RS4 but I still get stupid outside readings. Not as bad as before though.

This is for the RS4 only but maybe of some use.
