hi , expect to pay £1400 for the turbos , another £250 for the pipe work . i fitted them my self .. grizz

Engine out as i bult a new on on a brand new short motor ..

If you are not clever (like me), you should look at AMD's, QST's websites for an idea of the price involved by going to these 2 "fully-priced" tuners. You can than look at reducing the cost by various means - ultimately providing all the labour yourself, if you are a clever chap (not me). Go on, have a look at the websites - price is scary:

i have a friend who's a master tech at dane audi chester and engine and box has to be removed for turbo access, bummer!
doing my homework b4 i buy......

I saw some RS4 turbos on ebay for sale, pair were £1300 --- damn cheap I say - also a RS4 cast TTB Casing and respective pipes - ic's are on there also - check out ebay-DE, sure there are some guys in stuttgart that do overtime..?

who was it that mentioned that the engine doesnt necessarily have to come out for turbo replacement? any ideas on how this is done??

The engine can be dropped just low enough for a turbo job. Not many people have done it this way though...
