The "catching up the RS4 boys" inspired me to create a Poll.

Stage 4 for me, but only if that dreaded day that knowone likes to talk about happens

I've gone for stage 4, nothing else will do obviously

Can you explain the mods and hp gains for each though please ?

Stage 1 is fast enough for me as its not my "fast car". Dont want my everyday car to be quicker than my weekend car!!!

1 = remap
2 = remap + exhaust
3 = remap +exhaust + cats
4 = K04's

Is that correct??

I'd love some more HP but i dont think her indoors would let me run to a full stage 4 so I think i might just have to settle for a remap for the time being

My understanding off the stage references. Approx. Bhp after each entry. Several notes, most people at stage 3 have ICs. Oil Coolers are also prevalent but also not included in the stage definitions.

1 = Chip. 315
2 = Chip + Catback. 325
2+ = Chip + full exhaust. 350
3- = K04 + RS4 pipework. 380
3 = Full K04 kit, Injectors, MAF, Y pipe. Spark Plugs, adapters or RS4 fuel rail. 420
4 = Hybrids + full stage 3. 480

I think that's a fair summary for the purposes of this poll, although there are some mods which might be considered "intermediate" such as RS4 I/C's.

i just want more ! ! But i do want to know, what do i call my car , not much left of the s4 it's almost all rs4 ... ps my new flywheel & mtm manifolds arrived last week .........

Mmm - was having an interesting conversation with Mihnea the other day about an upgrade using Hybrids and banging out approx 400BHP rather than 480. There must be a grey area between stage 3 and stage 4 in terms of components I guess, so I will vote for stage 3.

What do the "hybrids" involve Darren?

indeed...I think I'd consider my car to be:

Stage2++ = Chip + full exhaust + Intercoolers + Panel filter. 3?0


and likely when ATP release their eliminator range of bolt on turbos for the S4, there'll maybe be a stage4+/stage5 option ranging to ~600bhp

Where's stage S as in stage stoooooopid with 550 HP on normal fuel PLUS a 100-150HP shot of nitrous???
