Possible power steering fluid leak.

Post by DJG » Sun Nov 06, 2005 11:13 pm

When unloading the car in the rain today I noticed that I seem to have been leaving an oily tyre track behind me. It appears to be from the front nearside tyre. I checked the power steering fluid and it is perhaps a little low. Thinking about it I have noticed a few new creaks and groans when manoeuvring over the last couple of days.

Too wet/dark to investigate further tonight.

Has anyone else had a similar problem in the past?

Just what I need at the moment......

Cheers,

David

I had noisy steering about a year ago and realised that my PAS oil was very low. I topped it up and it's been fine since. Not sure if this helps you or not...
