I'm keeping an eye out for a set of brushed aluminium mirror housings, as one of my nogaro housings was cracked when I bought the car. I've seen hundreds go by for the B6 models, and loads of mirror finish chrome covers for the B5, but they're just a bit tacky IMHO.

So, came across these... what does everyone think?

Hesitation steps in... which ones are being sold? Auction states mirror finish housings, but photo shows brushed. Auction states 'checkout pictures'. Also, photo is the same as on the many auctions for the B6 mirrors, so obviously isn't showing the actual housings you will get. And the seller is making it sound like they are genuine parts, but doesn't actually say so. I must say, I would be annoyed if I won those and got the tacky looking mirror finish chrome housings.

Seems like they are the stock s4 jobbies and not the rs4 matt finnish ones.

Have you tried contacting him to clarify? Has a pretty average feedback rating, especially if you read some of the comments .... not as described etc....

I have sent questions to the seller, but the auction is in its last day and no reply

This guy sells matt chrome ones.

...but only for the B6 models. The B5 ones aren't matt chrome. I e-mailed someone at goingfast.de. They sell the inpro housings, but said they are not yet available in matt for the B5 S4.

Watch the LHD mirrors they do not adjust correctly for RHD.
You also have the "blind spot" convex mirror bit on the left mirror.
