Low Price Turbo Swap Offer

Sometime during the coming spring, my good friend Mike Shimon may be visiting Europe. He is very very well known in VW/Audi circles in the US. He goes by the nickname Mr. Piggie...I know some of you here have heard of him. An Audiworld search for "Mr. Piggie" will pull up all the info you need.

Anyway, he is an absolute expert when it comes to VW/Audi work. He has done numerous motor pulls/turbo swaps with these cars (I don't even know how many S4's, but more than 20. He travels all over the US to do turbo upgrades) He does absolutely excellent work and is a great guy to boot.

If we can generate some interest, he'd be happy to do some turbo swaps/upgrades while he's in Europe to fund his trip. We can rent a full garage in Germany to do the work. A no frills turbo swap/upgrade will cost in the neighborhood of £750-£1000 depending on current $/£ conversion rate. Other work such as heads/cams/etc will cost slightly more. He is also quite good at tuning, troubleshooting, etc.

You can either provide your own parts or a package deal can be worked out with Buehn Engineering Hybrid Turbos (K03/K04, K04, K16/K04, K24/K04).

As soon as the mods get back to me, I'll be a paying advertiser on this site...so let me know if you have any questions regarding this or the Buehn Engineering Hybrid Turbos.

Thanks. :D

I would probably be interested as my Seals are obviously wearing on my K03's... but a garage in germany would be my problem. Its a little far!

Well, I suggested Germany as I know of many garages which we can rent with tools here and that's where I'm located.

However, it seems we may have more interest in the UK. Do you guys know if such garages are available? We can do the swaps wherever, we just need access to tools and a garage. I may need some help organizing a location.

I will hammer out some pricing details and post back. Thanks guys.

Hi chris i've found some one who's interested in a turbo for his S3.

But of course he would like to have an idea about pricing etc...

And as for me and him if it takes place in germany where there...

Is your friend handy with those also??

Hey Henrick!

Mike is handy with anything. He's got a masters in Electrical Engineering and is a flat out incredible wrench and great guy to hang around.

Here's the deal. He will offer full motor pulls/turbo swaps (includes labor for motor pull/turbo swap/new clutch/timing belt/water pump/etc) for right around £1000. He is fully capable of installing cams/tweaking and sourcing fueling kits/other things, but that will cost more than the £1000. We can get him to the UK in April...but I will need help from you guys sourcing a garage we can borrow/rent and tools and setting up dates.

We need to get a minimum of two people to make this worthwhile for him...and it seems like we are getting some interest. If you are serious, please email me at nogaroblue@gmail.com and we can work things further. Also if anyone knows where we can find a lift/facility, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to Europe and Mike has never been here. Thanks guys.

My k03/16's are on order from Jacob, due end of this month. However not sure I can wait till April. My dad sells tools to the local garages and I'll ask him if he can knows of anywhere suitable.

Good news, the old man thinks he should be able to find some space for Mike to rent and twirl his spanners in. The place he has in mind has a 4 post lift, I have access to a 1 ton engine hoist and an engine stand from a couple of kit car building mates.

I should be ready for a Piggie stage 3 fuelling kit by April......

That would be ideal Kevin. I'm sure we could toss in a few pints of your favorite brew and a discount if you help us set up a workshop.

:D

Please give me details when you get them and we can start looking at dates.
