Hi there, I've just bought myself an Audi S4 and I need to get some winter tyres as I live in Switzerland. Can you advise me on the best size and model to buy. I've been recommended 205/55/16. What about the speed rating?
Thanks

Dunno on the type and spec of snow tyres but I think you will need 17's to clear the front brakes.

I bought some spare wheels from Dippy on this site (thanks mate) and I will be fitting Goodyear Ultra grip winter tyres 225/45 17 for B5 S4.Every test I have researched put these on top. Also looking at reviews in Colorado for winter tyres puts these as top choice.
Will be in Les Gets in March if you want to meet up, Switzerland is very close to the family Chalet.
Your speed rating will be limited as the winter tyres are a compromise.
I certainly wont be going more than 110mph even though they are rated at approx 130mph.
Mind you it will be more around 20~40mph in deep snow.
I do have the part number of the official S4 winter wheels kicking about, they came out around £1200 then you need the tyres at £155 each X 5.
Get a second set of Avus X 5 (you will need a spare) from ebay and fit the Goodyears like I did, Car still looks good (factory winter wheels look pony).
