Sorry in advance

You boys are going to hate me for this but my head is spinning with this dilemma :bash:

I've trawled through the previous posts on this subject so I'm aware of the differences but...........

Option A
Facelift: +80K, FSH, spotless

Option B
Pre-facelift: 53K, FSH, plus cruise/heated seats/auto dimming RVM, a few urban dings

No discernible price difference - both apparently identical in every other respect.

Given what you know about your cars what would you do with the cash??!!

Cheers

Option A , The car must be a few years newer ! , Body work can get expensive quickly , you will need to get it repaired @ some time . I did get A 2000 face lift with 80 k ,i've just put ko4's on it with a load of other bits so make sure you keep some money in the bank!!!!!!

Face lift was my choice for both of my S4's , lots of hidden mods on later cars i.e manifolds for one, this would mean a late facelift though.
If you gotta rattle get the cheque book out!
Also dash from MY 2000> has variable service indicator.

Low milage car does not automatically mean it will be in better nick than a high miler.
I personally went for more miles and the later car for my first one, which in actual fact drives better than the one i've just bought with 29 000 miles on the clock!!
You can add cruise control to drive by wire cars by fitting switch and six wires to white plug by engine ecu.
You will need a login number to activate the system, not sure if vag com has this facility. Any centre would be able to activate it though.
You gotta get one with heated Recaros, they are SOOO comfy.

My car has done 82,000 and has yet to report any major problems. Some people are running well in the 100,000s with the original turbos. Motorway miles (typical for newer high milers) will not screw a car up as quick as lots of stop/tarting stuff (particularly if the engine is revved a bit too hard when cold.

Option A seems like it might have been looked after a bit better, unless it has recently been tarted for sale. Option B with urban dings could have done quite a bit of urban driving (i.e. stop start).

Deposit down on the facelifter, was always the more sensible option.

Nice stamp collection - all Audi up until the last one which was done by Trevors garage(?). Spoke to them and they agreed the car was as described plus it had the cam belt, water pump, rear discs and pads done in March this year (1300 quids worth in total).

Looking forward to meeting up with it when I get home.

Cheers
