I currently drive an E36 M3 all the way down here in NZ...but am thinking of upgrading to a B5 S4 (a collective 'hooray', I sense)...any advice in terms of what I should be looking out for/being wary of would be greatly appreciated. When do they need cambelts changed (or do they have cam-chains like in my M3?), what is the longevity of turbos, suspension, brakes, basically what are the gotchas?
There are a couple for sale here in Auckland (NZ) at the moment, one with 65k (kms) on the clock, one with 95 - I just wonder whether the higher mileage one for example might have already had some expensive stuff (e.g. rotors, cambelt) already done, that a lower mileage one wouldn't have?
Thanks in advance!
