RS4 Suspension

Post by JonnyX » Tue Aug 10, 2004 10:19 am

Hi Guys,

I have some RS4 suspension sitting in the loft waiting to go
onto the car. I have a couple of questions. I didn't get
any helper springs but I see in ETKA that these have helper
springs - is this correct? do I need these?

Anyone DIY change out motor mounts? (thinking of getting some
RS4 ones from vagparts to tighten things up a bit)

In 1st gear my S4 is really jerky (bucks when modulating the
throttle off and slightly on the gas) - is this common or
is something wrong?

Hi,

I have had this and it got a lot smoother with a new MAF sensor.
In fact I have had 2 new MAF sensors this year under extended warranty. When I mentioned this to the tech he said that this was not uncommon! Have your car checked for fault codes as if it is the MAF something should show up.

Thanks for the reply.

I don't have any fault codes and MAF 'seems' OK. How much do they cost these days?
(I thought you get recon ones now? - new senso, old housing)
