Any advice please: on a 2000 / 2001 S4

Hi
I am new here having ben directed your way from the TTUK forum.
I presently have a TTC 225, which I have enjoyed very much for two years..however a change has to be arranged, and the S4 is top of my list.
Having read a few threads I have picked up that the early S4 have a few problems. I am looking for a 2000 / 2001 car (saloon or avant) and would really like to know what the early cars suffer from, appart from rough previous owners.

K2, I used the buying guide from that site when I was around looknig at S4s. I found it really useful, also it gives you some structure for the inspection/test drive. With the S4 I ended up buying I actually emailed the (then) owner with a copy to let him know before hand what I was going to be looking for etc.

Good luck!

thanks, I will be doing likewise, I have allready put some enquiries out with the local dealer who is usually pretty good at hearing about S models if they are around::::Audi Worcester. They seem pretty experienced with the more interesting cars, and have very close connections with a tuning company in oxford. I am very tempted to go for 300 bhp, which seems very easy with the S4.
I will let you know how I get on.
