TBB replacement

Post by bazza » Sun Jul 11, 2004 4:26 pm

Hi all

I need a bit of advice

I just installed the samco tbb on my S4 an have noticed that the sensor which sits on the top of the tbb sits a lot higher now the new pipe is on.

It sits that much higher that the plastic V6 engine cover does not go on properly. I have to really push down on the cover to get it on and it just does not feel right

Has any body had this problem when they were installing the samco replacement tbb

Cheers

Yes this is common, but I thought Samco had revised their TBB to fix this.

Phone Samco up and see if they will exchange yours, or buy an MTM TBB ???

Leave it as-is: With the cover proud it will be pushed down by the bonnet and prevent the sensor being forced out under full boost.

No i have not found a solution. The boot was fitted by teh previous owner, via Kim Collins at a guess.

If i had purchased it then i would go back to samco and get the new one, i dont know if they will change mine
