yet another set of new turbos due to be fitted after lasting 2 months!!

this is what a broken K03 turbo inlet looks like after being hit by debris!!

Hmm, do you have a standard airbox and filter?

It looks like something got into the intake rather than turbo failure.

What 'debris' was this?

to cut a long story short, a small repair to replace a sensor resulted in a pipe not being put back on properly and something was sucked in to the turbo.

The heads were taken off as a precautionary measure - fortunately no internal damage was found so they cleaned the heads/pistons whilst there anyway.

Incredibley I effectively have 3 warranties on the car (one for the recently replaced turbos, the overall audi warranty and the dealership's own 3 month one) and none covers negligence by another dealer - includng the fitment by said dealer of non-standard DV's...

Audi UK have got involved and agreed the cost will not be met by me!

"Audi UK have got involved and agreed the cost will not be met by me!"

Well, that sounds like a result to me.

it certainly is and there are no complaints from me about that! hopefully the car will be ready to pick up in approx 2 weeks after my hols..

A small point - if anyone does have their turbos replaced under warranty, just make sure you make a small contribution towards the cost of it, otherwise as Paul found out, if the warranty expires and they fail, you won't be able to claim under the 2 year parts/labour warranty!
