BOV's

Post by NortheastS4 » Wed May 19, 2004 12:17 pm

Hi all, I have a question regarding the S4 dump valves..
I changed them both recently, only to find that one had some oil in it. Is this common? or can i expect a heafy bill for a turbo swap? :(
The car is a 2000 X plate with 35k on the clock, the valve in question was the passenger side one.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Oil vapour in the intake system is normal due to the crankcase breather system. Over time this can collect so it's probably nothing to worry about. If everything else is OK (power feels OK, no turbo noise, no smoke from exhaust) then don't worry about it.

Please don't compare the S4 engine to the S3 engine - we must maintain some sort of standard on this forum!
