Crancase breather - Airbox

Post by wankys4 » Sat May 01, 2004 3:18 pm

Any body know if the crancase breather enters the airbox, or bypasses it???
Just had a full service and they over filled the oil, (duh) - and last night on a cold engine one large gulp of oil exited the exhaust.
Just want to work out whether the new air filter is now part filled with oil!!!

i'd be more worried about the cats mate.
The breather past the filter so that should be ok

Am I likely to see damage to the cats with just one overfill of oil going out the exhaust? What do you think???

Make sure you register the complaint with the dealer. As Bushy states, a temporary overfill shouldn't damage the cats as long as it's cleared soon, however to be certain you want to be able to refer back to your complaint if you have problems in the future...
