Still running stage1 with K04, and thinking about re-maping with AMD.

How good AMD really is? Any comments

Know that the best option is to run with the whole intake, but no budget for it right now.

I answered your PM first. If you have a stage I map then the ECU thinks you only have K03s. I'm really not sure what the point is of adding K04s if you don't remap. The S4 is a computer-driven car - the program is EVERYTHING.

Brilliant, very professional and do what they say, trust them 100%

Had my car chipped at 12k miles, never looked back. Makes it a totally different car. No problems at all. The only small problems I have had are all non related

Go for it, you wont look back

:P

I am pretty sure my car is not running properly and know I´ve got two options.

1) Do a custom map with AMD.

2) Or go to Unichip, do a custom injection Map

Tks for the info guys and for the PM.

I had an AMD map in my previous S4. Great guys they really know their stuff. They fixed my car where my local Audi dealership couldn't in 14+ visits over 8 months!!

All right. That´s enough for me.

Unreliable Custom chip

Well

Guys, I´ve done the Custom Chip for the S4. Let´s consider that I am talking about AMD in usa.
It seems I am the first person to have problems with them. After sending the ECU twice to them, both times that arrived, the car would not start. I had to send the ECU to a Audi bosch specialist, to correct the routes. The car is making and strange noise and variation of the RPM, when cold starting (it´s a shame)
After making it work, the car was really strong, and linear, but the boost was lost after 1 hour of usage. The dvs were blown.

Then I took the car back to the Audi bosch tech guy, to put new TT dvs, and to check if there were any codes.

Checking with the VAG, it has shown two problems, boost too high and poor mixture.
Then I went to test the car, and after 40 minutes, the DVs were blown again.

So I do not know any more what to do? I am worried that the motor will not handle the mixture.

Who should I speak to? Any suggestions?

I would give Scott a call at AMD in the UK, he is the best person there
IMO to talk to re tech matters.

Hi Thorney

I still haven´t got a feed-back from them. Do you know of anyone that I should talk to?

Best Regards
