APR or Milltek exhaust

OK I have the option of buying a new discounted S4 APR exhaust...

I've read somewhere that the APR is louder than the Milltek - whilst I'd like a deep sound like the Milltek RS4 one, I don't want a 'Max power scoob' type..

Anyone have any views as to how the APR exhaust compares to the seemingly popular Milltek exhaust?

How much louder than stock is the Milltek for the S4?

Comments anyone?

How about Sebring they are top quality, good fit, lifetime warrenty, not loud and the price is good...around £300 for a cat back system...pm or e-mail if you want one...
They make the systems for AMG......

There was two video clips on Audiworld comparing the standard and Milltek exhausts for the S4.
I'm not sure of the URL though..

Sita, I have the APR exhaust and I can whole-heartedly recommend it. It is louder than standard and on WOT with the windows open it sounds vicious (but not scooby-style). The rest of the time, it burbles away and you can hardly hear it in the cabin. No drone or anything to annoy you.

Go for it ... at the right price of couse.

Nige.

Had a listen to both the standard and modded S4 on that link and I honestly couldn't tell any difference...apart from maybe a splutter in the middle, but it could just been a dodgy mpeg file

I bought a full APR system including downpipes and CAT's direct from APR USA. There are 2 options - stealth and something a little louder. I went for the stealth and it sounds really nice if slightly boomy below 3k revs. I chose it because it has a nicer burble than the Milltek, it comes with test pipes to delete the CAT's and it was cheap, especially at todays exchange rates. Without the CAT's, it really screams when revved! The downside is the CAT's are not racing types like the Milltek but at least you lose the pre-CAT's. Hope this helps.
