Self Leveling Xenons and Suspension

Post by kozmos » Mon Feb 09, 2004 10:10 am

Will changing (and lowering) to a after market suspension (ie coilover) affect the self leveling function?

How does the self leveling xenons work? Is there a sensor attached to the suspension or does the sensor measure the pitch of the body?

I think you can adjust the xeonons with something like Vag-Com (www.ross-tech.com)to cope with a lot of lowering.

Surely the height is not relevant? I would have thought it would only be a problem if the car was not level to the point where it cannot self level!!

My car is lowered and the Xenon levelling is fine. However AmD may have had to make adjustments when they fitted the suspension...

I wrote 'may have'. I don't know and didn't ask. All I meant was that you can lower without upsetting the system.
