RS4 Intake Conversion

Post by rweir » Thu Jan 22, 2004 2:01 pm

I am thinking of getting the RS4 intake conversion done on my car ... It does not look like a terribly diff job to complete myself, but ... I know a remap would be preferable to gain the extra power, but would it damage the car/engine etc to convert and not get a remap done straight away. I am considering getting this done at a later stage.

I think there may be a problem with my MAF so thought I would take this opertunity to upgrade at the same time ...

Cheers,
Rich.

You would be changing the airbox, maf, intake pipework, injectors etc.

I think you should ask a tuner to confirm.

Hi Rich,
I did look at doing this myself also .
The Airbox etc are not that hard to do but for the injectors you need a mounting ring turned up to suit the RS4 injectors, because of this I got the work done for me at AMD.
Re the map, should run ok for a short while but would need a remap ASAP.
