If you boys could answer the following questions, I would be grateful:

When is the cambelt change due on an S4 (40,000; 60,000; 80,000)?

On an standard S4, approx how often do they eat clutches?

Muchas Gracias

Also, how much does that Cambelt change cost approx, presuming servicing carried out by an independent Audi specialist?

I have just had mine done at an Audi garage at 74000 miles, they reckon 80,000 miles it should be done.

It cost 550 quid all in which included the water pump etc.
But now my car does not work but that is a different story.

Thanks for the price guidance. Why doesn't your car work? Do S4s self-destruct upon approaching 80k?

Shamsa, ignore me. I read your post on ABS warning light so I understand why your car doesn't work. Bloody trauma. The lawyers sound a good idea. If not, petrol bombing your Audi garage, while a but illegal, is probably good for working off that rage.
