Anyone know this car part II

I am enquiring about a red S4 saloon 1999 on a S plate reg number S873??? based in Wokingham, as I have seen it advertised at a snip of only £13k with only 35,000 miles on the clock.

The guy has advised me it is a 1 owner with full history and ordered from a garage in Holland from Audi AG to UK specs....does this mean it is imported?

If anyone knows the car and can shed some light on its history then a beer will be make its way to you.

yeh, sounds like an import, which would explain the tasty price!!

Don't know the car, but I can tell you that if it is less than 4 years old (since the VAT was paid), then the previous owner must by law pass the VAT receipt to the new owner, and the new owner must be law retain it for the remainder of the 4 years.

This in itself would prove that it is an imported car. However you need to see the service book and see who did the pre-delivery inspection.

However it certainly sounds as if they are confirming that it was a personal import, and yes the price ought to be lower as a result. Mine was about 75% of the UK price when new if that's any help.

I have looked into this car. I own an S4 and a friend of mine is so impressed with it that he looked for one.
We came across this red one of Kuljeet's in Wokingham and although we didn't get as far as seeing it or driving it, I did grill him fairly hard about it and I'm quite happy that he's stand up. Indeed, he sent me some photos etc and the car looks like a belter. My friend decided not to buy it in the end purely from a cash flow point of view - he's now looking to get a new shape S4 in a year or so.
