Hello, Me is a silly boy, in my excitement to get the MTM wheels down at Kim's about 2 month's ago, I forgot to buy a fifth wheel! So what happens, cruising along at about 80mph [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] on the M23 today, all of sudden severe shaking and shuddering coming through the steering wheel!! So I pull over to find a completely flat front drivers side tyre. Ah Ha! the spare is the original wheel!! I’ve left my mobile at home!! So I change it for the original wheel. My question to those of you in the know is...
A) Having driven 5 miles at very low speeds (no more then 40 mph) with 3 x 19's and 1 x 17s, do you think I have done any damage? (My local Audi say no)
B) Does anyone know of a good place near me in (Sutton/ Surrey)where I can get a reasonable price for a tyre ( Dunlop 235/35 ZR19's), or know of a good mobile service, as I need to be making my way down to Exeter tomorrow.
C) As this is an Audi with 4 wheel drive, are local tyre centres capable of replacing my wheel and setting the car up properly.

No way would you have done any damage - especially keeping the speed down low.

A good place for tyres I found is RSR in Redhill - 01737 772243. They also list a place in Sutton on their website - 020 8643 1781 (I think it is down the bottom of the high street by the old Eagle Star building)

When I wanted a spare Conti Sport Contact II they got one in special (correct high load rating), and still knocked the price down close to Micheldever prices (£145 inc fitting). Give them a try, and don't be scared to question their prices [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

With regard to fitting the thing - not really any difference to a normal car. Just make sure they jack it on the jacking point

I was thinking the same, I forgot about RSR! I'll call them 1st thing, PS sent you an email

it should have done no damage - your new wheels should have the same rolling radius (to keep your gearing & speedo the same) so it's only a style thing [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
