S4 Discs...

Has anyone found a company that makes replacement discs for the S4 yet. I know EBC and Tarox had them "in the pipeline" but when I last researched this I think they were still a pipedream...

My standard ones just don't cope with Knockhill...

David - as I said before in this thread , I have OEM disks machine grooved, with Redstuff pads and good brake fluid.
Seems the best option so far, unless you spend £££££s on big brakes.

The S4 has more than one type of brake disc though, and EBC do an S4 disc (it just didn't fit mine).
Speak to Richard on the last post of that thread and he will tell you which one can be used (have your service book handy, with the sticker on the inside cover).

When are you going to Knockhill David?

Might come along if it's soon.

I went to a few porsche / tvr trackdays and muscled in recently. Amusing to be all over a 360modena in the wet

No more planned soon, but will be at the classic&performance car show at ingliston this saturday.

...and more importantly, since when did the car have 440bhp? New toys?

Give us a shout when you are next at Knockhill - I have chased a 360 Modena Spider round there before - got a few video clips. There were a couple of 355s that were faster than me. Overtook an F40 coming out the hairpin - he didn't see me and got a fright so pulled over.

My brakes were smoking/huge fade after 12 laps.

I don't have 440bhp yet but the K26/K27/K29 Racing Turbo is getting fitted in the next week - custom remap in 2 weeks time I hope - the aim is 440bhp for now - Not too expensive either, thanks to a Mihnea (S2tuner on here).

The last couple of times on the rollers have shown I have had low torque on the car - I discovered a hole along a seam on a turbo hose - only opened up under pressure - I fixed that and the car stopped making it's distinctive noise so I decided it was time for more power!

We'll see how it goes on the next run - might give the RS4s and Porsches a fright.
