RS4 Alloys

Post by B5DOM » Sat May 17, 2003 1:02 pm

Where is the best place to get them from had a look in the gallery and a few S4's now have these on, and they do look the business

Ebay always has a few but what is the best size, my S4 is running standard suspension, and do you go for original Audi alloys or replica's

RS4 alloys unfortunately dont fit mate, but AmD sell a nice replica alloy for the S4 which look identical and fit OK

Yeah, there's another thread in here somewhere 'RS4 wheels on S4' - they do not fit !

The repica's look great, Joshie has them, 8x18 with 225/40 tyres (RS4's are 8.5x18 with 255/35 tyres).

Have a look here....http://www.auto-amd.com/wheels4sale.asp

I have RS18inch Replicas with 235/40/18 Goodyear GSD3 F1's and got them from AMD. They look and feel great on my S4 Avant.. ...can definitely recommend..

Do I need to do anything to the Sat nav or Speedo or anything, or just fit and away we go

Not sure about SatNav, but I would get a 4 wheel alignment as well.

As of last week, AMD no longer do the 8x18 RS4 replicas, they only have 8.5x18

The sat nav / speedometer calibration depends on the radius of the tyres. Check the tyre sizes you are considering on the comparison chart at www.toyo.co.uk 225/40/18 have the same revolutions per mile as 225/45/17 so in this example there would be no difference.

I can't think of a reason to do four wheel aligment just when changing wheels though.

Nige,

Do you happen to know what the offset is for the 8.5 x 18 wheels ?

I assume they fit an S4 OK, even with lowered suspension ?

Sounds like a very interesting upgrade

Not sure, standard S4 ones are ET45, RS4 is ET 20. I'm going down there on Friday, so I'll ask.
