Alternatives to OEM S4 discs

Post by DavidT » Tue May 13, 2003 8:47 pm

I looked into this and you can get them from AWE (or direct from DBA )

or from ECS

I hope this helps anyone who needs repalcements.

I am led to believe that EBC are bringing out an S4 disc in the next couple of weeks.
I'll let you know how the enquiries go.

Wondering what the benefit fitting these is? Surely the problem would still be heat retention as the calipers are not floated?

Paul,

I spoke with EBC a couple of months back:
David,

Our Redstuff pads will be ideal for this car.
DP31382 Front
DP3370 Rear

As yet we have no information on the disc's for this car.I would
be very grateful if you could supply me with the
diameters,heights,thickness,etc.

Best regards
Bob Sketchley

I expect things have changed since then, there is a market for them. Should be interesting.

Joshie,

I would expect the grooved ones to perform better than OEM, but would avoid drilled (i.e. not cast in) ones.

To be honest I have not looked in great detail, I posted the details up because I am aware people are looking for alternatives.

Yes, thought you were still going for the Porkers Dave - do you have them already?

EBC told me that 2 months ago - still no news sadly.

I'm getting my OEM rotors grooved and then lathed on the hub so they should be perfect to within 1 thou. See if that stops them from bending
