My Audi S4 pulls heavily to the left even after getting a 4 wheel alignment tracking done. Could this be related to a worn track rod in the front nearside of the car which needs replacing and is causing slight play in the suspension :S4anagaro. Any advice would be appreciated

Sorry if this is going too far back to basics, but before you point the finger of blame on any component, run the car on a flat car park (i.e. no road camber) and ensure it still pulls left. All cars will pull left on UK roads as they follow the cambers towards the gutters.
Also, what kind of 4 weel alignment? Was it a kwik fit job or a proper bessparth alignment with camber, castor, toe etc plotted for you. The cheap and cheerful kwik fit ones (usually about £20) are rubbish other than checking that your 4 wheels are all pointing forwards. Get AmD or similar to do a proper check (usually about £70+) and you might locate your problem.
Cheers
David

Some time ago I made 3 visits to my local tyre dealer who had "laser alignment". They got it wrong 3 out 3, so I gave up and got in done properly.

The Tracking was carried out by a Stapleton Tyres, I guess I should have taken it to audi for the 4 wheel alignment.
I tested the car out on a flat road with no camber and when I let go of the steering wheel the car pulls heavily to the left.

Get a proper 4 wheel alighnment, cos if it does as you say, that should show where the problem lies. Cheapo test tell you next to nothing (I got a tyre place to do mine after a tyrechange due to uneven wear and left with the wheel 10degrees off centre and the car crabbing sideways)

Ok thanks for the advice guys, I will take the car to Audi for a 4 wheel alignment and hopefully that should resolve the pulling issue.
