Hard or Soft wheels on a B5 S4!?!?

Post by y2blade » Thu Feb 14, 2013 2:47 pm

Can anyone shed any light onto the matter of the hard/soft wheel issue please?

Last night I was asked if my car had Soft wheels...knew nothing of this so did a search and came up with an issue that (as far as i could see) ONLY effected B5 RS4s with nine spoke alloys (being soft by design, to give suspension a easy time).

Is that the case?

Thank you in Advance.

IIRC there were two types, the harder ones are the most sort after. Apparently there was a goodwill offer from Audi to swap them over, if the owner so wished. I'd heard that it's still in place but I've no idea how they'd still be holding stock.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Thanks.
Am I right in saying ONLY the 9 spoke B5 RS6 wheels were effected?
