Hi Simon & thanks for your input.

Who did your car?

What else do you have planned for it?

Scotts Motortune did it. The original owner had the work doen when he first purchased the car.

I dont have anything planned, just to keep it running well. Its got just over 75k on it now, and i am holding out for an RS4

Ibbo & Simon it still looks odd compared to others. Unfortunately 500nM isn't 400ftlbs either, you divide or multiply by 1.33 which gives you 376ftlb on yours Simon. Ibbo's 402ft/lb works out at 535nM with the 466bhp Sportec RS4 at 550nM.....

Not trying to be picky but 37ftlb or 50nM torque difference (compared to Jeff's) with the same mods on the same RR

and now for the correct figures

500nm = 369lb/ft
402lb/ft = 545nm

just thought would post my stats, which were measured on the AMD dyno after their mods, apparently the weather brought the figures lower than expected....

387.6 lb ft torque
Negaro Blue '99 S4
327 bhp
387 lbFt

Sorry for not giving an exact calculation, i actually think you divide it by 1.3597.

Anyway my car has 373lbft or 507Nm

Mine comes in at 395 BHP & 473.9 lb/ft @3257 rpm.

With the K04s the torque is above 320 lb/ft between 2K & 5.5K...

Cool figures Jeff

Just seems strange that on the same conversion from AmD on their own RR that there can be so much difference in peak torque, especially when you consider torque is a function of bhp, and the bhp's seem very similar

My car, for some reason, also had a higher torque figure than expected with a straight remap (on K03s)...

Must be something about my motor...

Andiroo,

remember that peak torque and peak bhp are not necessarily at the same rpm - and I'd go as far as saying are NEVER at the same rpm.

I don't accept your argument that the 466bhp Sportec RS4 tune must have more peak torque than a tuned S4. Why? It depends on the tuning. Don't forget the other post - peak bhp is simply a marketing tool for men who like to brag...

My peak torque has been around 411-413 lbft on the 3 occasions it has been measured on AmD's RR.
