If you went to my favourite repiutable specialist, the aux belt and waterpump would cost a few hundred quid. It's false ecomony to not change it when the cambelt is done as it's 4 1/2hrs labour.

Colour is down to preference, depends on how much you don't want to be noticed

Other than that it sounds ok

I'd have to say Kingfisher Blue is the best colour IMO. Looks very nice, people often comment on the colour of my car. 8)

And as an ex owner of a 1990 80 Sport ( BRMotorsport conversion as well) I can recommend them. They were probably the best built ( bullet proof) along with the B4s ( had a 2.8 quattro as well)
Now cheap to buy, ordinary consumable spares are fairly easy to get & cheap.

Nice car that RS4 :)

TBH the servicing costs on an RS seem a little bit more expensive than the S4 - plus wifey's already spent the top end of the budget!!! :D

Big MO - Grahame came thru within about 15 mins :D

Just waiting to have a chat with wifey tonight etc...... interesting interesting.

Seen a 1.9 TDi (99S) @ work (bit of luck!), so I'm goona speak with the chap tomorrow and have a sit in and (hopefully drive). The TDi Avant (with exception of the plant and accessories) won't be that far off the S4......

Might be an interesting week ahead!! :D

Yeah.... Right o

The TDi will feel a bit 'ordinary' compared to an S4

:D you know what I mean :P

Just thinking though - a few more questions that need confirming before I give Wifey the low-down (oo-er!!!) :D

1. This water pump and aux belt - if it hasn't been done, are they important things to get done ie engine killers?
2. Service schedual/intervals - obviously the one I looked at was grossly incorrect. Is there one on the net? Car's done 87K with the main service @ 80K (?)
3. What other questions should I be asking about the car?

My reason for asking is that the dealership might be buying the car on my say so, for me to then purchase off them. As it's coming from Bonny Scotland, not much chance to check it over etc.
I've got to give the go-ahead (subject to finance and a confirmed p/ex price) prior to trying/seeing the car in the flesh.

Gonna ask for some piccies tomorrow (ain't email great!), along with confirmation of :-
1.Leather option
2.Load cover
3. Bose stereo
4. Any other options such as DIS etc
5. How much tread on tyres
6. Tax/MOT for how long

Anthing else?

Dano :)

Nice one Clive - didn;t know that (suprise suprise!!) :D

Anybody got some answers to the first two questions? -

1. This water pump and aux belt - if it hasn't been done, are they important things to get done ie engine killers?
2. Service schedual/intervals - what's the next service on an 87K car, and how much?

Thanks in advance guys :)
