Cracking day out yesterday, the S4 was absolutely awesome. My mate had a passenger ride in the Lambo, an F430 and Sagaris, but he said nothing came close to the S4  .

The Lambo actually clocked a best of 193mph.

As an ex Audi enthusiast I was more than happy so see the S4, B5 (2 of) and B7 RS4's (3 of) perform really well.

I ran against all 3 B7 RS4's (2 of them with mods) and just had the legs on the standard one (pretty even) but couldn't match the modded ones. I also ran against a B5 RS4 who I held to over 100mph but once down the long straight he edged away. I did get to run against Doug in the S4 but he took it easy off the line and I was long gone.....although it was good to watch him fly by at 190mph as on most runs I coasted home due to hitting the limiter at 155mph!!!

Jules.

I agree it was a cracking day and was great to see the Audi's do well. There was a lot of exotic cars to look at, which was a bonus. 193mph sounds a bit more like it for the lambo, it was the owner that told me 182 though. He must have improved after I spoke to him. Seemed a decent bloke.

I got a seat in the white 997 GT3 twice, what a machine. Handling was immense and the owner, Dave was a good driver, he ragged it back round to the start. It had only done 1700 miles!!! It did 178 on both runs when I was passengering.

Would consider entering but currently drive a 335d and not an Audi and will almost certainly be on holiday then.

But have to admit that it sounds like a fantastic day out.

Hi Jules, was a pleasure to run against your 335d on Sunday. I'm not one of the RS246 Live! organisers, but for me your car would be most welcome at the event. I think many would be surprised at how rapid it is. Appreciate that you may be on holiday though.

Very Impressive speed for an S4.

If it hasn't been posted already, is it possible for Doug to post a detailed spec of the car (and what it would take to get it to that stage from standard (apart from lots of money)).

oh - and to do 193 on that runway more than once you will need good brakes - R8 calipers with RS6 discs.
