If anyone thinks that the B5 S4 is a lardy barge why did they buy one? I love mine and would not swap it for anything in the same price bracket. :s4addict:

I voted light as a feather & goes like stink .... get some decent suspension = zero roll ..... compared to yr :dung: OEM slop anyhow .... :nodder:

Because it is an excellent, fast refined, discrete road car and that is before we get on to the superb value they currently represent.

If you had paid any attention to previous postings, you would have seen the "lardy barge" jokey comment was made with reference to taking a totally standard S4 on to the track, where the brakes and suspension were likely to be the first areas to let the car down.

I would be suprised if anyone on here has bought a standard S4 purely as a track car?
This forum is an excellent resource to share experiences with those who have modified their cars in varying degrees with excellent effects, clearly I am not alone in realising the limitiations in a standard spec car when pushed to the limit. :)
2000 B5 S4 facelift, sadly missed...enjoying the 2005 A2 TDi Special Edition though!

Clubsport I think you will find that the original question was by Dave T and was as follows : What do you lot think ? I dont see anything with regards to track use :assflash: People have mentioned it in other posts but i am answering the original question :<beep>_you: Is that not the way it works?
