RE main beam, use this dood:
http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQf ... idQ2dworld

main beam is about 500% better, though you might need to do some tweaks as mine are a bit low.
I went for 10000k cos the colour is more 'interesting'

I'm gob smacked by the price! How long have you had these and were they a fairly straight swap?

Had them about 2 months, work very well. Sorry aint got a write up/pix, but its very straightforward. The 1st might take you 45 mins, the 2nd prob 10.

Search the forum for how to remove the light.
All you need to do is remove the old halogen bulb,
put the new HID in,
drill a big hole in the back plate (the removeable 1 to access the bulb),
wire up (no cutting needed),
mount the ballest which is quite big somewhere near the light cluster in the engine bay. (That was the only pain.)

And Bobs your aunty.

Have to say that the chrome dial rings(from e-bay) add a litle extra touch to the dash although they were a PITA to fit i am pleased with the result.

Yep - i got the e-bay chrome rings; cheap but definitely NOT cheerful to fit! Look nice though....

Chiphazard, there was a guy on ebay selling OEM Avant spoilers for 50 quid... brand new - 100+ quid cheaper than retail :shock:

Go to ebay and type in Audi Avant Spoiler. I think theres 1 on there but is sprayed in grey.

I need some advice please.

How difficult and time consuming will the following mods be? I'm hoping some of the boys coming to the meet will be able to give me a hand carrying these out. And I'm hoping even more that these will give me some understanding s to what lies beneath the bonnet :) But I don't want to take up too much of everyones time cuz I know most people have stuff to do too... and I have to leave a little early to go to my sis in-laws birfday bash :roll:

Most of these are from S4tans list:

* Clean out crap from airbox and clean filter.

* Replace all vacum hoses.

* Take off TBB (what is this :oops: ) and clean out throttle body.

* Give MAF sensor an IPA bath (again, what is an IPA bath? :oops: )

* N710 BPV's (I get these from Audi stealers, right?) And are they £40 for the whole lot? What exactly does BPV stand for? And what are there purpose?

* Short shift on a face-lift - from what I've read it's a breeze :)

I do like the chrome dial rings, but really don't fancy ripping out the dash panel... and as those who done it have said - they're a PITA!

Air-box is straightforward - any of the lads you see on sat will have this whipped out in a jiffy!
Vac-hoses (FPR to EM and EM to DVs) are easy too - just need the appropriate hoses and clips
TBB = throttle body boot - joins the charged air feed pipes into the throttle body (has the sensor G31 stuck on top) - relatively easy to take off and clean the oil and crap out (but take care near the butterfly valve area)
IPA = Isopropyl Alcohol; get 99.9% stuff - put the MAF in a bag full of the stuff and shake GENTLY, leave for a few mins then remove and let it dry naturally.
BPV = ByPass Valve - they divert charged air back into the air intake when going off throttle
Chrome Rings - real PITA....

Thanks S4tan. I'm guessing all this stuff comes from the stealers (apart from the alcohol - this will probably come from Woodys special stash!!)
