Anyone know what the Standard B5 S4 alloys weigh?
We need to be careful comparing like for like here - the B5 S4 OEM wheels are 17".

A more meaningful comparison would be :

RS4 OEM 18" - 28lb approx
RS4 replica 18" - 29-30lb

Lets see what Woody's weigh in at...

Perfect.

(The offset of the OEM wheels is 45, so the ET35 of these wheels plus the shape of the spokes gives you more clearance for bigger brakes)

well to be honest simon the tyre package aint that bad (price i mean) its just a shame that there prob a cheap tyre..clive its true what you say about the spokes..they bend just rite and give lovely clearence, would be nice to see if they clear the RS6 brakes too.

I'll let you know - just ordered a set! I think they should as I tried a set of RS4 reps with ET35 and they cleared the brakes by a "Rizla paper" (copyright of expression ackowledged to Rolskii!) - too close for comfort. But I think the shape of these spokes should do the job nicely.

That's pretty heavy for 17"s, so I'm guessing the B6 S4 18"s that I'm currently running will be at least 30lbs, compared to these MTM style at just over 25lbs - should be noticeable.

I think I would rather put up with one corroded alloy rather than have a set of budget tyres on my car though.

Need to get my cambelt sorted out first, oh and a wedding to pay for.

Weight of wheels on a car that ways as much as the S4?its surely going to be a drop in the ocean isnt it??

The MTM bimoto wheels are considerably heavier than the OEM ones, and I'm reliably informed that as well as adding to the overall weight of the car, it does affect handling.

and about 25.08lbs for the mtm style rep..

So has the handling been affected woody? just keen to know as they really look brilliant. Very in keeping with the rest of the car!
