The upside of the turbos having to be pulled is that I can start looking at new improved technology that wasnt available when my car was first made. Has anyone tried supercharging yet?

No, no, no, no .... NO! :bash:

Stick to replacing the K03's with K04's, add a conservative remap (380bhp) from MRC and gut the pre-cats.

but nige, it says you can have instant power with the flick of a switch. Your just hacked off cause you got ripped off buying K04s when you could have had one of these for a lot less, and no doubt more power as well :nodder:

I only want the best for my S4 :kissmyrings:

Andy, surely no-one can be that gullible to buy a 12v hair-dryer and liken it to a supercharger?

Nige.

p.s. I'm still on K03's

Hi guys. just thought id give you an update. got my car running again thanks to doug and minhea :D . There was a split in the F hose and the throttle body boot had more holes then a lump of swiss cheese. cant believe audi missed this on 4 seperate occasions! :audibash:

My cars never driven so well now tho, and i had a smile from ear to ear when i picked it up.

big thanks to MRC and look forward to getting up there in the future for some mods :D just not going to tell the misses :sekret:

Congratulations andy123 and thanks for letting us know the outcome.
It's unbelievable that you have had this trouble with THE most talked about weak spots on an S4..........TBB & F-Hose !!
I am flabbergasted that this was not sorted instantly by the Audi dealer.
Seems they know sweet FA about cars and just plug in Vag-Com to read what to do, if no faults logged then your car is OK.....(Not necessarily!)
Any B5 S4 owner regular on this Forum hears about these hoses often.
Presume your Turbos are OK, you posted earlier that one was whineing ?
These split hoses are what has given the K03's a bad name IMO.

SUPERCHARGER???! What are you thinking of?????! :bash:

Stick with what the car was designed for... :kissmyrings: As Rob, points out, superchargers use power (as well as boost it) - turbocharging comes "free"... :rocker:

So was the turbo knackered or was that another misdiagnosis from Audi?

the turbo was knackered, one of thems still fine tho.the blades on the knackered one are in a right mess. at least audi managed to get one thing right :)

Thanks for the clarification Andy - you're right, you don't want any of those silly resistors either!

So are you replacing both turbos?

Andy - I saw your car last week at MRC...very nice I must say.

How does she drive now on K04's, would you recommend the conversion and any new performance figures to bench test against>?
