I've had mine 5 years 3 months. Dippy always beats me on that one :(

Planning to keep it and perhaps make it an RS4 saloon at some point. Have considered stripping it out but there are better cars for that and not much touches a good stage 3 S4 road car on the country lanes.

Anyone else planning to keep their car indefinately ?

I have no idea what is next for my car... sure I am going to sort the exhaust and squeeze the last bits of power from the engine bay... after that I have no idea where to go next. I will certainly be keeping the car for some time and making the most of the mods I have paid so dearly for. Here is to many happy years of motoring ahead... Well the S4 has gone now after 14 months of happy ownership. I miss it already, the E39 M5 is a nice car but it is way, way harder to drive in winter where the S4 is effortless. Frankly it makes me s**t my pants so detracts fom the ride. If I can save enough pennies over the next year or two I will come back to the fold and look at the RS6, if I decice the M5 is just too dangerous I may just come looking for an S4 sooner...

Thanks for the advice and banter over the last year, this forum is an exellent resource and I wish you all luck with what is a very special car.

If it makes you feel any better it's more like 5 years and 5.5 months since I registered it. :)

David and Dippy,

Are you both the only owners of your cars?
Surely yours are going to be the kind of cars that will command the highest re-sale values - not that it probably matters to those keeping their cars indefinately!
I'd love to find a one enthusiast owner from new car.

John

Dippy is, I'm the third owner of my car, it was Audi UK first, then sourced by Crewe Audi for a customer who only kept it 6 months.
