Stevie could come to the RR day - there's still places for reserves I think.

Found nearly a litre of oil in the passenger side intercooler, so looks like one of the newly refurbed turbos has blown an oil seal within 150 miles. I thought I had the record for shortest turbo lifespan before, now i've blown the competition out of the water!

Looking very likely that internal work will be required. So engine pull, rebuild, sending turbos off for their 2nd visit in a month (after spending £1050 last time)... I have a very very difficult decision to sleep on.

Whatever I decide to do, this car has been a nightmare!

Surely you should have some sort of warranty with the turbo?

I imagine a warranty would only cover defective workmanship. Seeing as how they are the people who analyse it and tell you why it failed, you'd have a hard time getting them to sort it out.

We had to send one of the turbos back because they hadn't lined up the shell properly. Turns out, the other one was slightly out as well, but that wasn't noticed until the car was being rebuilt.

I think i'm jinxed. I swear it. The CPU fan on my PC at work started intermittently clicking the other week, and not only last week did the fan in my oven start making a metallic grinding noise :?

Think i'm destined to drive NA cars... slow, reliable ones at that!
