Im sure the mileage is more than that. Last time it was for sale on here I can remember it was around 130,000 to 140,000 miles. Best to ask Rob on that one.

I wouldnt want your cam belt failing because someones decided to change your mileage. Then youd be left with 0 HP. Best try to find out whats gone on.

If Rob has changed the cambelt then find out at what many miles, but theres no way of knowing of how many miles the car has done since he sold it on. Thats the problem.

the cambelt was done twice within 4 months..once at a dealer and once by MRC..@ saf..removing the standard grilles and fitting either RS4 type or mesh will allow more air to flow over the IC's which will keep the intake temps down..also removing the fog lights will also help with air flow...

I still have the original ad when rob was selling it saved as it had a nice list of mods. It does say that the cambelt was done and all pulleys etc.

Lots and lots of new parts on that car too.

Thank S4woody. I think I sent you a PM regarding prices. Pls check. IDo you know of any step by step guides for removing the grills and putting RS4 type in?

I have a spare set of grills that I bought but want to know the best way to take the black plastic out. Also tryign to find a good set of RS4 type mesh, (more of a match that the surrent stuf fon ebay). If anyoneknow where to buy from plz forward a link.

Saf - simply removing the fog-lights will increase the air-flow to the front i/c faces by a not insubstantial amount ... doing so increases the inlet area in the grilles allowing more cool air to ingress - no need to worry about buying new grilles - I ran with de-fogged stock S4 grilles for ages 'til I got all ponced up with the RS4 bumper (even now I've got stock RS4 grilles with no fog-lights - just some mesh to keep the leaves and road-kill off the i/c's)

Thanks. the idea was to get the RS4 front grill , and cut all the S4 trim off the fog ligght and centre trims and replace with RS4 style mesh.

Im still contemplating it.

Ive already got a spare set of side grills from quantum John when he broke his green S4 avant. Just need to mod them at some stage if I decide to do this.

I will try the fog delete first though.

@saf...look through the Audi World Tech articles. There's a how-to on modding the front grills to RS4 appearance (cutting the centre bars etc). I think they fitted Golf R32 mesh which matches very well to the RS honeycomb. Try a search, I've posted the link a number of times.
